About the Class:
In this class we will begin working from Chapter One of the expanded Italian edition of Athenaze (Volume 1), and we will discuss the material in Ancient Greek. The main aim is to develop fluency in speaking, which will help you:
Remember vocabulary more easily,
Internalize grammatical structures, and
Develop an intuitive grasp of the language.
The class will be conducted in Ancient Greek (with occasional explanations in English). It is ideal for students who already have basic knowledge of the language and want to solidify it through listening and speaking.

- Preparation is Key: Come prepared to engage with the assigned text and bring any questions you may have. During class, we’ll use images and videos to reinforce vocabulary and reconstruct the narrative, emphasizing real-life application of learned concepts.
- Repetition and Consolidation: Through repetition and consolidation exercises, we reinforce grammatical aspects using learned vocabulary, ensuring a solid foundation for language acquisition.
- Engaging with Original Texts: Experience authentic Greek literature as we delve into original texts, complemented by vocabulary exercises and reading comprehension questions to deepen understanding and foster engagement.
- Homework Reinforcement: Reinforce your learning with composition exercises designed to enhance comprehension and vocabulary retention.

Meet Miguel Ángel, your dedicated instructor with a passion for Ancient Languages. With a background in Law and Philosophy from la Universidad Libre de Colombia, Bogotá, Miguel Ángel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom. His profound enthusiasm for Ancient Languages has taken him on a journey to explore various locales, including Jerusalem, where he pursued advanced studies in Ancient Greek fluency at Polis, the Jerusalem Institute of Languages.
